A Small But Splendid Gesture
Acrylic on canvas. This painting was inspired by a whale watching trip on Maui. Humpback Whales seem to have such a gentle spirit. The birds are Splendid Fairy Wrens found in Australia. The males pluck flower petals and show them to the females during courtship. I thought that was such a sweet gesture and if they bring female birds petal, why not whales?!
